School uniform: Short or long socks?
I go to a private school which until this year was a girls-only school and so this is the first year which is co-ed. After some arguments and to maintain some traditions they have decided that on "Formal" days (as a minimum) that guys should wear the traditional school kilt that the girls wear too. This has all just changed and the first time I will need to do this is in two weeks. I have to get a kilt this weekend.
I have to wear black or navy blue socks with the dark blue kilt.
Question: What do you think looks better with a kilt - long socks or short socks?
Are you serious. Oh dear.
I guess long socks.
I'm assuming you can't wear boots.
Anyway I feel bad for you.

Cute shoes to wear with uniform shorts?
My uniform shorts are navy blue, and go to about mid-thigh or a little longer. (they look like this picture:)

Sorry for intruding…Just wanna share my experience. My son who is 4 years now is on his brief everyday when he wears his school uniform/short. ALso, if he wears those short with zip, must wear brief also…or else later his birdie kenna zipped. At home, he wears short only. But my boy likes the brief…buy those like spiderman, cartoons kind.
They do here in Arizona, and the same goes for the major guy sports (football, basketball, baseball), and the only girl sports that do it really are cheer and danceline, everyone else just wears their team t-shirts, which usually aren’t anything fancy. My school wasn’t really spectacular at any sports, though, so there wasn’t that much school spirit to go around outside of sports teams, as tradition people would wear the school color before the first home football game, but that was it. On the first day of the state championship for track, though, all of us who qualified for it wore the entire uniform, short shorts and all. I got written up by my psychotic art teacher, though.
