scrub Bottoms
taking a bad smell out of plastic?
I bought a fisher price hard plastic toy at a consignment shop. Its like a big mountain with roads & stuff on it. It stinks really bad (didn't notice at first) I cut a hole in the bottom & soaked it & scrubbed it with hot soapy water with baking soda. Then I soaked it with water & ammonia. It still stinks. It smells like cat pee. I'm ready to throw it away but my son LOVES this toy. Any ideas to get this smell out?
how do you do the newspaper & baking soda thing? lay it on the newspaper? do you just sprinkle the baking soda over it?
Plastic is a porous material, so it may be best to just throw it out. It can harbor bacteria that would be harmful to your child, and if it still stinks it most likely is. It's the same reason that water bottles or other plastic containers smell badly after a while.

It's actually a McDonald's commercial and this is how I hear it:
Two Mop Guys Crew: "Grab a bucket and mop..."
Two Rag Guys Crew: "Scrub the bottom and top."
Burger Machine Guy: "There is nothing so clean as my burger machine!"
Two Broom guys Crew: "With a broom and a brush"
Two Brush Guys Crew: "Clean it up for the rush"
Fine Tenor Manager: "Before you open the door..."
Al Jolson sound-alike: "Put a shine on the floor!"
group, dancing --one guy: "When we've finished with that..."

Well tell your boyfriend he might be right. I would call a real college and talk with the program chair my friend is an associate chair at a college that teaches this program. I am not sure you can do this course online and like this it is a two year program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
