   African Greys, like all parrots, are very cautious animals. Sometimes they just see something that sends up all of the red flags in their survival instincts and they feel the need to get away.

   My African Grey hates balloons. My Senegal is terrified of soda cans. My Cockatiel is terrified of laser pointers, and my parakeet hates my chinchilla.

   There are many reasons why your Grey could be afraid of those things, colour included. Maybe someone who hand fed her when she was young pinched her or something and was wearing pink or blue. It could really be anything.

   The important thing is to learn from these reactions and to try to keep the items she's afraid of away from her so that you don't risk her injuring herself by thrashing around her cage.

   i used to never like pink, either. but somewhere in the past 6 months-year i've fallen in love with pink and can't get enough of it. i even recently bought pink sunglasses (and i have pink scrub pants that go with my pink monkey shirt for work). pink is excellent.

   At Ball Memorial Hospital in my town, the nurses all choose their own scrubs. They've got a catalog for them. The doctors all have uniform colors though.
