   Oh the joys of huskie's enjoy it. It's very hard to stop a husky from shedding. Believe me. Our back yard looked like a blanket. After four brushes and the same amount in combs. We finally found a good brush. It cost us $100 dollars but it works.It pulls the hair from the roots And they're shed their coats with the change in season. All I can really offer you is to get a real good book on huskies and read lots of luck.

   Probably 4 weeks or so to look like normal length hair… feed that girl, and make sure she's getting plenty of calcium. You can give her some vitamin E to get her hair to turn shiny, and come back thicker.

   Racism is alive and well in America. Ask me, I can tell you what I have learned from living in the innercity of Milwaukee.However, your story reminds me of a lesson we learned in a workshop for teaching kids. I want you to picture a scientist. How about a mad scientist? What do they look like? Most people, not all, will picture Albert Einstein. Or Doc from Back to the Future. Which is really based on Einsteins look. Wild hair, long lab coat, and most definately a man. As teachers we are challenged to find childrens picture books with gender reversal roles. You mentioned what the tax man looks like to you. Uncle Sam looks much the same only colorful. Still a top hat, still a man. You have kids, when looking for books for them, look for books with gender reversal roles. Such as a woman plumber, a male nurse, a woman doctor, a male hairstylist, do you get the idea? We are influenced by the media around us. And it is hard to find books, cartoons, and music, with women and men in nonstereo typical roles. It is in our world. It is what we see. How often do you picture a female garbage collector? Now a days, a mail carrier could be man or woman and it is normal, but it used to me “the Mailman came!” I think this is more what you are experiencing and it is a type of racism, and you as a parent have the ability to change those views of your children. We just don't think of those things until something like this comes up, or someone points it out to us. But most of our thoughts and ideas come from the media and our childhood memories. Does this make sense? I hope it doesn't sound offensive. It wasn't meant to be.smalls

   Sounds like normal shedding & yes shedding is just starting depending on where you live. Puppies don't shed the same way as they do with adult coats & it is different hair. Other than taking him in the groomers for a better brush & blow out a couple of times – brush, brush, brush. You might want to add fish oil capsules to his food for a lil extra help but every hair on their body has to come out at some point & grown back.

   Huskys "blow coat" twice a year. I think this is what you're experiencing. Mine LOVE to be vacuumed, but it freaks other dogs out. You just need to brush them everyday. Having the groomer blow them out also helps get all the fur out. Ours last maybe 2 weeks, but we have 2 so it overlaps a little bit. As long as you don't see bald spots, don't be over concerned.
