Every time I hear these ridiculous “Death Panel” claims I’m reminded that my Mother spent the last few years of her life, like thousands of other Americans and millions worldwide, of Chronic Hemodialysis Treatment. This is what you do when your Kidneys no longer function and you are not placed on the transplant list. 4 hrs a day, 3 days a week, technicians in lab coats would remove all her blood and filter it back in to her body. You see, there’s not enough Kidneys to go around and they need to go to people who have a better chance of making it. So if you’re older, or have a history of alcoholism or drug use, or if you’re morbidly obese, or if you have other medical issues, such as Heart disease or Cancer you won’t even be considered for a transplant. I knew a woman, very attractive in her early 30′s that had surgery and a medical mistake was made and she was given the wrong type of blood transfusion. She made it out of the hospital about a year later and spent the remaining years of her life (not many) on dialysis because she wasn’t a candidate. I also had a coworker in his 30′s who was on the list for his 3rd kidney (each only last about 10 years).

I don't claim to have all the answers and I'm not here to try and pursued people to believe in one thing over the other. What I do know is that there are many churches of various religions that do more for local communities than any business or wealthy person or the government. To see this you only have to ask your community where all these charitable organizations get their funding. It's almost always through a church.

Doctors protest plan for Obama Health care Reform

WASHINGTON – Doctors are rallying together in protest of the president's plan for health care reform Thursday night, less than 24 hours after he laid out his plan.

"Doctors for Patient Care" is a grassroots organization that's fired up over the president's health care plan. These doctors say it's critical that they make the medical decisions and fear Obama's plan would have the government stepping in.

Gathered on the National Mall Thursday, a group of doctors and their supporters waved signs and spoke out against the president's health care plan. ABC 7 Talkback:

They say they support health care reform but definitely not the plan announced Wednesday night which includes a public option.

"We must fix this. We must fix it right and we must not fix it quickly. There's no urgency other than do the job right," said Dr. Peter E. Lasina.

But speaking to a group of nurses Thursday, President Obama said the matter is urgent. "I will not permit reform to be postponed or periled by the usual ideological diversions," he said.

His focus is not only on reaching out over party lines, but also unifying his own party. Many moderate Democrats don't want a public option in the plan.

"I cant support the current House bill primarily because of some of my concerns about the cost," said Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D.

But others like Penny Spinney were moved by the president's speech Wednesday night and have faith that the plan to insure all Americans can and will work.

"I can't imagine how people are surviving if they don't have it. It becomes everyone's problem," she said.

The term 'blowing coat' is generally used on breeds other than smooth-coated ones. For example, the northern breeds blow coat twice a year in spring and fall, it's when they shed the most. Belgian and German shepherds blow coat twice a year, shedding out a lot of their undercoat. Dogs are blowing coat when they change from puppy to adult coat

Well I don’t think nurses qualify as scientists per se(though physicians don’t necessarily either, but they are more likely to wear lab coats) so I believe a nurse would be perfect at explaining magnetism. Since I may be construed as a scientist, I am prone to lyin’ and makin’ ya’ll pissed.

Global warming IS real, the real debate is whether we (humans) are causing it or not. From what I can tell, there's almost consensus that the the Earth's climate is changing, but there's all kinds of contradictory information on whether it's our fault or not.

Personally, I'm a fence sitter because I'm really wary of all the varying information that's out there. I'm not sure how I can sort out the truth from a sea of lies, honest mistakes, bad conclusions, and the just plain illogical.

However. Whether or not 4 of of 5 "scientists" agree, no-one can deny that many humans are making quite a mess with our pollution and garbage and deforestation etc. Why the heck can't we just agree to be a little more eco-friendly, despite whether a 'global warming' doomsday is upon us or not? There's enough proof that these things are not that great for us and the other species we share the planet with, even if you ignore climate.

If we think of the word Atheism in the true sense of the word we must think of the word Theism which implies that God is active in ones life. So putting an “a” in front of Theism would mean lack of whatever Theism means. So an Atheist is someone who thinks God doesn't play an active role in their life.

The Atheist uses this word Atheism to say that there is no God. So either way you look at Atheism it has nothing to do with Deism,or it is the opposite of Deism.
