   Hi Bocagrande,

   I appreciate your comments, did you read the story I posted at Hospital Scrubs Are a Germy, Deadly Mess, Bacteria on doctor uniforms can kill you.

   I love how many people attack me about this but fail to answer the most simple question….why not just not wear scrubs in public? It only takes a few extra minutes to change, why not just change? This is more about laziness than it is about science.

   I think hospital employees that wear scrubs in public are ignorant to how the public feels, especially now with H1N1, etc.

   Are you a healthcare worker Boca? Are you lazy like the others?

   Dude you started out good, but started to lose me half way.
   Are you mad at the mental health and mad at medicine?
   Last time I checked god and medicine don't go hand in hand.

   A small but committed pack of New York lawmakers have proposed a bill that would bar doctors and other hospital staffers from wearing neckties at the office, as they’re jealous of the cool uniform. Also, according to State Senator Diane Savino, the law will help save lives. "Adopting a hygienic dress code for medical professionals means less infections, less lawsuit, and lower medical malpractice premiums," she explained. But Dr. Theo Strange of Staten Island University Hospital disagrees, noting that there’s "no evidence to prove that ties cause infections." More important, he loves that uniform and, after four years of medical school, nobody’s going to take it from him. "Appearance is important," he said. "Patients don’t want their doctors dressed too casually. For men, that means a necktie, which is tucked into a lab coat which is buttoned."
