should I brush a black lab every day?

We are getting another dog today. He is a black lab. He did shed a little when we first met and I didnt know if that kind of dog always shed alot and that I would have to brush him daily or if it just his coat, like his diet needed changing or something?
DP- OMG! I just got the dyson slim too. I cant believe how awesome it is for pet hair! Thanks.

My lab sheds more than all the other dogs I've had in life combined. It's needle-like hair that works it's way into carpet and furniture.

Keeping him brushed (Daily / every other day) will greatly reduce the amount of hair you're picking up.

Also keep a stock of tape-roller lint removers on hand!

I agree with DP - Dysons are GREAT!

i bathe him and brush him regulary it's just i haven't seen some much hair on the floor in my life he's still my baby am not annoed with him personaly it's just brushing up i have to do that's annoeing.

Welcome to the world of Labrador owning!
Some moults are worse tha others - obviously this year he's having an extra special one.
Brush him regularly and give him a bath - that will make it worse for a while but the old coat will come out quicker.
That's all you can do - no point in being annoyed, that's what Labs do.

co2insanity says: “Now I’m going to have nightmares about scientists dressed in white lab-coats, bullet-proof vests with pocket-protectors and helmets on, kicking in the doors in Cancun to intimidate everyone into signing a climate agreement … “… Actually, there’s not going to be a single scientist of any description at Cancun. It’s just all politicians, media types, bankers, bureaucrats, regulators, and money movers. Says it all, really. As for the 700 … I’ve a list of over 7,000 real scientists, engineers, Phds, and Masters saying the opposite, and they don’t have grants to protect. The clue is in the word “researchers” – as in their eternal cry; “we need MORE MONEY” for ‘climate research’.” Who’s the public going to believe?CCX … good riddance.

Take to groomer. There's NO Blade that'll do a 2in. clip!

    Get combed & NOT CLIP!

There ya go. The ONLY 2 choices. Sorry,no magic wand.

Wigs take 3 weeks or so to reach my island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You should be fine.
I've been making hairsticks out of chopsticks and odd knitting needles recently. You usually have to shorten them a little, but it's nothing a hacksaw and some serious sanding can't fix. Plus, with the knitting needles you can pretty much stick ANYTHING you want on the ends. Just epoxy and pretty things and tadaa!
Just stay away from the thin metal needles. They bend.
